Home » The Perfect Carrot Cake Topping: Sugar Free Cream Cheese Frosting

Making Sugar Free Cream Cheese Frosting was incredibly easier to make than a simple Sugar Free Frosting Recipe.

That cream cheese simplifies it soooo much, I couldn’t even believe.

We sprinkled some cinnamon on top of it for aesthetic appeal.

Trying to make a natural sugar-free frosting/icing recipe without cream cheese was a nightmare. The butter kept separating from the rest of the ingredients, and the Erythritol kept re-solidifying into crystals.

I did eventually figure out a method to make a smooth, creamy, Sugar Free Vanilla Frosting Recipe without Cream Cheese, but the cream cheese makes it way easier.

So, without much more ado, my incredibly simple-to-make, yet wonderfully delicious, all natural sugar-free cream cheese frosting recipe!

Directions

1Make sure that the cream cheese is at room temperature. Mash it up with a spatula in a bowl so that it's creamed, and then pour half a cup of Agave Nectar into it. Add in the Vanilla, Cinnamon, and Corn Starch.

2With an electric beater (medium speed), beat the Agave/Cream Cheese for about 5 minutes.

3Use your spatula to scrape off the sides of the bowl so that the entire mixture gets whipped. You will see that it slowly gets thicker until it's at a frosting-type consistency.

4To make the frosting thicker (and more delicious), put it in the fridge until it cools down.

Ingredients

1 Cup of Cream Cheese

1/2 Cup Agave Nectar

1 Teaspoon of Cornstarch

1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon

2 Teaspoons of Vanilla

Here’s what Terri had to say about this recipe:

“Andrew.  It’s my birthday so I need to supply morning tea at work.  I wanted healthy banana cake with sugar free frosting and I found your recipe.  I swapped out half the agave for lemon juice, added some lemon zest and doubled the cornstarch to make it thicker. I deleted the cinnamon.  It was FANTASTIC! Thanks for your base recipe  you have made my day . – Terri”

After the first time Terri wrote to me, I heard back again!

I paired them with my clean eatin’ Banana Bread Muffins ( from the Eat Clean Diet recipe book) and they went down a treat at staff morning tea!  In fact some people sought me out to see which muffins were mine so they could have a sugar free indulgence instead of all the other high cal sugar laden stuff on offer.

I will be making your frosting again.”
