What Is My Favorite Sugar Free Pancake Syrup?

Are you diabetic? Trying to avoid sugar? That doesn’t mean that you can’t still have a great breakfast, as long as you use the right sweeteners.

There are 2 different products that I would recommend for putting on your favorite breakfast, that are both sugar free and healthy for you.

Solution #2: Nature’s Hollow Sugar Free Maple Syrup

The ingredients of this sugar free maple syrup are as follows:

  • Water
  • Xylitol
  • Xanthan gum
  • Natural maple flavor
  • Natural caramel color
  • Citric acid

Now this stuff may not be as healthy for you as Agave Nectar (Which is my #1 choice for Syrup), but it is still a viable option for most people looking to keep sugar out of their diets, and for Diabetics!

The thing that I would be most weary of is that it contains Xylitol.

Xylitol is a sugar alcohol (Safe for Diabetics), and like most sugar Alcohols, it cannot be properly digested by your body.

What does that mean for you?

It means that if you eat massive amounts of the stuff, you will get diarrhea, gas, and cramps.

The Solution?

Don’t eat massive amounts of the stuff! That’s all!

Some people will have a lower tolerance for it than others. Some people will have a higher tolerance, but I’m sure if you use it in moderation you will be fine.

By the way, erythritol is much much easier on your body than other sugar alcohols such as Sorbitol or Maltitol, which are often contained in Sugar Free Gum.

Solution #1: Agave Nectar

Agave Nectar is the solution that I use constantly.

In fact, I go through liters and liters of the stuff every month.

Of course, you don’t have to use it just as a sugar free pancake syrup, it works perfect for other things too (Like baking, and putting on your cereal).

And the best part of all, is just like the Nature’s Hollow product, this is safe for Diabetics as well.

It has a Glycemic index of 27-37 (Depending on the brand, see myTypes of Agave Brand Analysis to see which one is best for you!) while any Glycemic index less than 55 is safe for diabetics.

So you can see how this will be a great substitute for you.

And the one major advantage it has over our #2 choice is that it doesn’t have any sugar alcohols in it (Making it easier to digest in your body).

Even over consumption of this product has never caused me any ill effects in my body.

And that’s why I would recommend it over anything else.[/text_output][/vc_column][/vc_row]
